Jesse Factor presents The MetaMarthasis, featuring excerpts from Jesse’s evening-length dance performance The Marthaodyssey and some new surprises. The work features Jesse as Martha Graham, “the high priestess of modern dance,” reinterpreting her dance canon to the sonic landscapes of Madonna, “the queen of pop.” The work fuses the stark minimalism of high modern dance with sleek, pop-infused spectacle.
